Casa Alegre is the smaller, quieter end of Villas Del Mar: four bedrooms, five bathrooms and eight guests at number 366, inside the double-gated Palmilla community four miles west of San José del Cabo. It is the size two families or a group of couples actually want, with everyone in one house and a table that still fits everybody.
Outdoors
A heated private pool, a fire pit and a shaded outdoor dining set with a BBQ area sit on a terrace that takes in both the Sea of Cortez and the Palmilla golf course. A golf cart comes with the villa, which is how most guests get down to the beach; the cove here is one of the few in Cabo calm enough to swim.
Indoors
Four bedrooms and five bathrooms, a full kitchen with an island, a living room open to the terrace, air conditioning throughout and 500 Mbps Wi-Fi. Eight guests, and a house scaled for eight rather than a large villa with rooms closed off.
