By Plane
Get yourself to the airport, then sit back and enjoy the flight. The Los Cabos International Airport serves San Jose del Cabo, Cabo San Lucas, and the Los Cabos area. Book your flight on airlines like Spirit, United, Southwest, Delta, and others.
By Car
While many travelers choose to fly, if you’re up for a road trip, make Cabo the final destination. Often people start the drive from a Southern California location, and even then, it can be a very long drive. If you’re driving across the border, you’ll need your driver’s license, passport, as well as proof of registration and Mexico tourist auto insurance. With everything in order, immigration will issue a Temporary Vehicle Importation Permit (TVIP) and a tourist entry card (FMM). All the planning can take up to 180 days, so a spur-of-the-moment road trip won’t be in the cards.
By Bus
There are five major bus stops in Cabo, with many companies to get you there. Much like a plane trip though, the bus will go from your starting point to your destination without many stops other than refueling or legally required driver changes. Most stop at the Terminal de Autobus Cabo San Lucas. You’ll also need to have transportation, like a rental car, from the bus station to your Cabo accommodations. Keep in mind, bus tickets may be a bit cheaper than plane tickets.
