Family-Friendly Events in Cabo San Lucas
Beginning at 10 am on September 14th, you can experience Charro Day. Mexican cowboys, also known as Mexican Charros, will parade through the city in traditional charro outfits with decorated jackets, pants, and sombreros. But they aren’t the only ones wearing beautifully decorated outfits. Their horses too will be wearing their very best equipment. Visitors can follow the event into the evening at various charro rings in the city and witness bullfights and calf roping. One of the best parts of this special day is the food. Mexican Independence Day
On September 16th, people all across Mexico will celebrate the anniversary of the country’s independence from Spain. After 300 years of being under Spain’s colonial rule, Mexico gained independence and commemorates it with celebrations all across the country. Here in Cabo San Lucas, kick off the evening of September 15th and last into the following day. Guests across the city can find various celebrations, including at MUSE Terrace at Hard Rock Hotel. The evening will feature mariachi bands, a regional show, mechanic bull, Mexican games, and fireworks. Bisbee’s Los Cabos Offshore
For more than 30 years, Bisbee’s Black & Blue Tournaments have been taking place in Los Cabos. In October, Cabo San Lucas hosts the Los Cabos Offshore Charity Tournament and Black & Blue Marlin Tournament. It’s not just big fish these professional anglers can catch, they can take home life-changing money. The Bisbee’s Black and Blue tournament produces some of the sport’s largest payout that goes into the millions.
